In my tender years, I watched a film titled, ‘The Spiral Staircase,’ an eerie masterpiece from the 1940s era. This ominous visual saga filled me with dread, which seeped into my dreams, to stir there for countless years. Night after night, I was hunted by an elusive manifest; a spectral entity hiding itself in the veiled corners of a closet. It harbored lethal intentions towards me, sending ominous vibrations that transfixed me within the confines of the room.
In the gloomy darkness of the enclosed space, a single eye of the entity was discernible, radiating an eerie glow. From this single point, fear ebbed into my consciousness and I would awaken in a cold sweat. This spectral vision gripped me with such life-transforming fear that I carry its vestiges till this day, patiently perched at the age of 68. As an eternal testament to my nerve-racking dream, I find comfort in the bedtime ritual of checking the closets in every room, reinforcing my shield against the lingering remnants of this haunting fear.
