They plunged into an enigmatic space, a mall parking lot – a symbol of mundane life – transforming the ordinary into a surreal, vivid landscape. They executed an eerie ballet in the sky, performing an unnatural back-flip, a symbol of the inversion of order and logic.
The sight was a titanic clash of human numeral ingenuity and the unrestrained forces of the universe. Watchful, I stepped into a realm of twisted reality, suspended between our world’s border and the ethereal beyond. Time folded onto itself as the planes continued their spiraling dance of destruction, only to succumb to the gravitational pull and crash straight into the heart of the earthly world.
A wave of profound terror engulfed me, echoing the existential dread of witnessing the faltering of ostensibly unstoppable forces. This vision came to me four years prior, adrift in the fluidity of time, etched into my subconscious as if scorched by the flames of the downed leviathans.
The unfolding narrative was left unfinished, its climax covert beneath the sands of time, and I’ve been unable to recall the fateful ending. This enigmatic certainty of the unfolding catastrophe haunted me, resonating with the uncertainty of life’s mysteries hidden in plain sight.
